The holidays are right around the corner and Hilton Head Island is sure ready to celebrate! The island is finally feeling back to its usual self with plenty of festivals, oyster roasts and fun events planned for November.

Volumes of Light at the Coastal Discovery Museum | All month long
The Coastal Discovery Museum invites you to come see the art of Chantelle Rytter up close. The artist behind Hilton Head’s own lantern parade, Rytter has been creating joy through her art in communities for 20 years. The museum is pleased to show the full spectrum of her work, including one-of-a kind lanterns, puppets, drawings, sketchbooks, photographs, and other ephemera.
Enjoy the exhibit anytime during the museum’s normal business hours. You can also check out the following related events:
Artist Talk, Tuesday, Nov. 9 at 5pm: A fun and informative talk with artist Chantelle Rytter, as she takes us behind the scenes of her amazing parade productions. $7 Per person, limited seating.
Lantern Making Workshop, Nov. 10 & 11 at 5 p.m.: Make your own lantern for this year's Hilton Head Lantern Parade! Artist Chantelle Rytter has created kits especially for the Coastal Discovery Museum. Create Sea Turtles on 11/10 & Butterflies on 11/11. $40 per lantern kit.

Concours d’Elegance + Motoring Festival | Nov. 5-7
Hilton Head Island’s Concours d’Elegance + Motoring Festival is an annual “automotive affair to remember.” The festival offers the best of the best in automotive exhibition, dining, and luxury lifestyle. It’s more than just an event — it’s a multi-day world-class destination experience.
Oyster Roast at Coast, Oceanfront Dining in The Sea Pines Resort | Nov. 6 from 1-4 p.m.
Oyster roasts are celebrations of community and the bounty of the sea — two of South Carolina’s most enduring traits. Coast, Oceanfront Dining at The Sea Pines Resort is hosting this popular seasonal event with a special menu of fresh, local and roasted-on-site oysters from Maggioni Oyster Company on St. Helena Island.
The Bonfire at Sea Pines Forest Preserve | Nov. 12 from 4:30-7:30 p.m.
Join the Sea Pines Forest Preserve Foundation for the 10th Annual Bonfire Fundraiser! The evening will include cocktails, a Lowcountry-inspired menu, live music, and a bonfire. Proceeds will benefit capital replacement projects throughout the Sea Pines Forest Preserve. Tickets are $75 per person.
Hilton Head Oyster Festival | Nov. 13 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The annual Hilton Head Oyster Festival features local artisans, food and beverages, live music, kids’ activities and more! This year’s Saturday event will be held at the new Lowcountry Community Park near Coligny Circle.
Hilton Head Island Lantern Parade | Nov. 13 at 5:45 p.m.
The lantern parade is a free community event at South Forest Beach. Bring your own lantern to participate in the parade, which will line up at the Alder Lane Beach Access at 5 p.m. The parade will step off at 5:45 PM, right after sunset, and travel north along South Forest Beach up to Coligny Beach Park. An after party will be held at Tiki Hut at the Beach House Resort.

2nd Annual Lowcountry Holiday Craft Fair | Nov. 20-21
The 2nd Annual Lowcountry Holiday Craft Fair is a great way to support local vendors while holiday shopping! The craft fair is hosted at the HHI Beach & Tennis Resort and is open to the public on Saturday, November 20th, from 10am-4pm and Sunday, November 21st, from 12pm-4pm. Admission is free.
Coastal Discovery Museum Holiday Market | Nov. 22-24
The Coastal Discovery Museum is hosting a 3-day “Holiday Market” November 22 through November 24, from 9 am to 4:30 pm. Each day has a different theme, with lots to offer the shopper that wants to get a head start on the holidays.
Enjoy a festive wagon ride and marvel at the fall colors and abundant plant and wildlife in the Sea Pines Forest Preserve. Wagon rides are available Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday during Thanksgiving Week.
Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt at Harbour Town | Nov. 25 from 9-11:30 a.m.
Kick off your holiday festivities with this fun family-friendly activity! Reservations are required. $35 per family.

Sea Pines has multiple dining options available for your family this Thanksgiving! Order full to-go meals ahead of time for your family to enjoy at home; pick up a pie to bring to a gathering; dine-in on Thanksgiving Day at Links, An American Grill; or enjoy a Thanksgiving Buffet in the Champions Ballroom at the Harbour Town Clubhouse.

A long-running Hilton Head Island tradition, the Community Thanksgiving Dinner at Hudson’s Seafood House on the Docks celebrates the best-ever free community family-style dinner, with over 400 volunteers serving more than 1600 guests.
Celebrate the meaning of Thanksgiving with a free community Thanksgiving Dinner, with turkey, dressing and all the trimmings, served family style. Everyone is welcome! Come alone or bring the whole family. It’s always a place to meet new and old friends. The celebration, filled with food, fellowship and entertainment, is free to all.

Join us under the Liberty Oak Tree in Harbour Town for a very special Gregg Russell Thanksgiving concert for the entire family, as well as the official lighting of the Harbour Town Christmas Tree!
Harbour Town Lights | Nov. 26
Stroll along the harbour and enjoy the illuminated seasonal figures, with the centerpiece attraction — a towering Christmas tree! The perfect place to spend the holiday season with your family. Harbour Town will be bustling with activities and live entertainment.
The official tree lighting will take place just prior to the Gregg Russell Concert at 7:30pm on Friday, November 26.
While you’re enjoying the holiday season, help the Deep Well Project make a difference in someone's life. Drop off a couple of canned goods or a new, unwrapped child’s toy in the well by the Liberty Oak stage. Since 1973, the non-profit, volunteer-based Deep Well has been serving the basic needs of the less fortunate on Hilton Head Island. More information here.
